Quite possibly one of our favorite reds of all time. We don’t mind a full bodied, concentrated red if it’s made like this. The Pantaleone is full of black cherry, cocoa, and boysenberries with enough acidity to keep you going back glass after glass.
Manaresi, Controluce
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
WinemakerDonatella Agostini considers this wine a reflection of herself, with the dark power that Cabernet obtains here as the protagonist. Cabernet reaches ideal ripeness in these hills, but obtains an elegance and balance, a great testament to Cabernet's potential in Bologna. The fruit is ripe, the profile is full of chocolatey plums and there is wonderful structure. This is one of the coziest reds in our arsenal and we’re so excited to share it with you.
Ca' di Sopra, Remel
50% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot
Remel is the nickname that winemaker Camillo’s classmates gave to him when he was studying enology in college. It represents the process that Camillo and his brother Giacomo took to get to this point, through research and experimenting. We love to call this wine a super-Romagna, in the face of all of the super Tuscan out there. Silky soft tannins, but with an earthy/bloody edge. This wine is too sophisticated for its own good.
