CURATED BY LAURA STALEY WINE DIRECTOR OF ROW 34 BOSTON/BURLINGTON GENERAL MANAGER
*DELIVERIES BEGIN AUGUST 10TH*
As we venture back out into our favorite restaurants it’s important to remember that the people working hard to make our nights memorable live in a different time zone. They start their days in the late afternoon and don’t get home until the small hours. Many, if not most, have more than one job. Sick days are few and far between, paid vacations don’t exist, and mental-health days aren’t exactly acceptable, yet.
This is why we should all pay more attention to leaders like Laura Staley who advocate for their staff members and make sure they are taking care of themselves off the clock once they’re finished serving the rest of us. We don’t need to remind you to tip well but do remember how much your smiles, compliments, and positive energy mean to those who take care of you at your favorite neighborhood spots.
T H E W I N E S
Brézé, Crémant de Loire Rosé– Light & romantic.Sandy, Strawberry Cream Puffs. Soft acidity, subtle notes of strawberries, and bone dry finish have us totally addicted. Pair with Row 34's Calamari or Fish & Chips.
Battistelle, Soave Classico– Medium bodied and steely. Baked Pippins, Cured Lemon, Gardenia. What a mouthfull of Garganega! Baked apples, poached pears, and blooming flowers are too much!. Pair with Row 34's Lobster Fettuccine or Striped Bass.
Les Poyeux, Saumur-Champigny– Full bodied and chic. Dried Violets, Cranberry Sauce, White Mushrooms. Lovely & delicate with ascending tannins that cry out for red meat. Pair with Roasted Leg of Lamb or a lovely Entrecôte.
Manaresi, RED – Full bodied and unexpected. Bittersweet Chocolate Chips, Sun Dried Tomatoes. So decadent, so much mocha. More Cabernet Sauvignon from Emilia-Romagna please!. Pair with Row 34's Bacon Cheddar Burger.
