Off To The Alps

Welcome To The Tack Room

Curated by Brandon Bunnewith, Partner / Wine Director

Deliveries start January 9th

Time to settle into the calm of winter and the new year ahead. This month we’re touring our favorite mountain regions as we highlight The Tack Room. Nestled between Concord and Lexington in Lincoln, Mass., the space feels more like a ski lodge than your neighborhood restaurant. Ideal for the season. Cozy atmosphere and a menu that features venison, elk, and wild boar will keep you warm as you enjoy the wine list curated by co-owner Brandon Bunnewith.

He has a growing half-bottle list that would pique the interest of any wine nerd and a constantly rotating by-the-glass selection to keep things interesting for his regulars, who just happen to be the growing population of young families in Lincoln. We love a place with a kid’s menu and deep cellar. So put on your wool sweaters and join us as we learn a little more about The Tack Room.

  • Domaine Maurice Schoech, Sylvaner - Light bodied & pristine. Fresh Thyme, Nectarines, White Pepper. Beautifully textured and incredibly clean. Think Alsatian Arneis. Sylvaner is so underrated! Pair with The Tack Room’s Pumpkin Risotto.
  • Romain Chamiot, Apremont Jacquère - Light bodied & graceful. Passionfruit, Apricot, Freshly Cut Flowers. Delicate, grassy Jacquère with an edge. How does it taste like fresh air? Pair with The Tack Room’s Sweet Thai Chili Mussels.
  • Grosjean Frères, Gamay - Medium bodied & dusty. Mesquite, Cherry Jam, Cremini Mushrooms. Smoky, structured Gamay that will have you rethinking your love of Beaujolais. A+. Pair with The Tack Room’s Pulled Pork Sandwich.
  • Anita & Hans, Nittnaus Red Blend - Medium bodied & plucky. Ash, Cherry Kirsch, Prosciutto. Savory, mineral driven Zweigelt that has us craving charcuterie. Burgenland for the win! Pair with The Tack Room’s Famous Duck Grilled Cheese.
