Often, we are reminded how a new bottle of wine has the power to transport us. With every sip we get to discover somewhere new. We get to taste place. That is especially true this month. Each bottle is a beautiful example of how low intervention winemaking allows the fruit to shine through for a pristine drinking experience.

We have Chef/Owner Michael Lombardi & Wine Director Chris Keith to thank for our December picks. Si Cara, was inspired by the memory of Michael's grandmother and his time spent in the kitchen with her. He’s serving up Canotto style Neapolitan pizza and all the natural wine you can handle. We are so excited to share these wines with you and we implore you to make your way to Central Square and enjoy some of the best pizza in the city.

  • Fattoria di Vaira, Vincenzo Bianco - Mandarin Pith, Dried Apricot, Honeysuckle. Delicate, floral, and just waiting for creamy cheeses. Skin contact perfection. Pair with Si Cara's Sunchoke Pizza, or some Burrata.
  • Hasi Berriak, Menpe Txakolina - Sea Salt, Meyer Lemon, Pecorino. Spritzy, savory Txakoli filled with delicious salinity. Time for a trip to Spain. Pair with Si Cara's Shrimp Fra Diavolo Pizza. 
  • Cascina Val Dal Prete, Prete Rosso - Dark Chocolate, Wild Strawberry, Lingonberry. Absolutely hypnotizing. Gorgeous acidity that has us pining for prosciutto and burrata. Pair with Si Cara's Pizza Alla Gricia.
  • Sikele, Rosso Nero d'Avola - Sun-Dried Tomato, Anise, Cocoa. Cozy Nero d'Avola full of milk chocolate and just a kiss of texture. Pair with Si Cara's Meatballs al Forno.
